If you are a regular visitor to our website, you may have noticed some changes today: globalpartnership.org has a new look! More importantly, it has new features to improve the experience of visitors around the world viewing the website on mobile devices or low bandwidth internet connections.
Low bandwidth option
One of the main reasons for the revamp was to allow visitors living in developing countries, where internet bandwidth may be limited or slow, to access our content faster. The low bandwidth version is a text-based, lighter version of the site and can be accessed through the top right corner of the navigation menu on any page. The main difference with the regular site is that it does not display photos and graphics, which allows the pages to load faster.
Today more than 25% of visitors to globalpartnership.org view the site from a mobile device, more than double the number two years ago. Moreover Google recently changed its rules to put responsive websites at the top of search results. Responsive design means that the site navigation and menu shift to accommodate screen size depending on the device used. Try it out: if you’re on a PC now, minimize this window and make it smaller and smaller, and see what changes.
Faster speed, better search
We have optimized our website to ensure that it loads faster. And we have added a new Google-powered search tool to make it easier and faster to find the content you are looking for.
New look and feel
We have improved the overall design of the site so that it’s visually cleaner and more engaging. The new design features a simplified look, bold colors, a bigger font and larger images. It is also wider for those viewing on a desktop monitor, leaving less white space on each side and displaying more content.

The website revamp was based on data collected from a user survey, extensive usability testing, and analytic research. We incorporated the feedback collected during this process into the new version.
